Ask and You Shall Recieve

   I posted on Twitter the other day that I wish I was challenged more on a daily basis. Well what I didn't know is that no matter how you say it, whether posed as a question or statement, if you bring this up be prepared for it to come true.

   My exact tweet stated "I wish I was challenged more on a daily basis. I don't like monotony." This statement was made at 9:50 am. Little did I know, only a few hours later, I would be having a deep theological debate about the big bang theory and evolution over lunch at an italian restaurant. I won't go into too many details because different people believe different things and I don't feel like dealing with the backlash. The conversation started innocently enough by talking about a trip that my friend recently got back from. We sat down without the knowledge of ever talking about such things. It's amazing how a conversation can transform when your not afraid you may offend someone with your beliefs.

   During our lunch I got a phone call. After leaving the restaurant I listened to the voicemail and someone wanted me to come up with 5 or 6 rough logos for a business they are starting. Not only do I  have to create the logos, but they have no idea what they want it to look like. I am basically shooting in the dark and I am pretty sure my gun is loaded with blanks. To top it all off, I have to have them done in one week. As an amateur designer, I am not used to being under this big of a time crunch.

   I never asked to be more challenged. I made a simple statement that I had been mulling over for a while. I love how life will throw you a curve ball like that sometimes just to keep you on your toes. I may whiff or I may make solid contact, but no matter what happens I will swing for the fences.
